San Feliciano on Lake Trasimeno, aerial view

Timeline

Our history

1890

The ancient mill

In San Feliciano, olives from the Trasimeno hills are pressed. The mill is already a landmark for the territory.

1952

The Mancianti family

Faliero and Alfredo Mancianti take over the historic mill and begin pressing olives from carefully selected groves.

1976

San Feliciano is born

The first in Italy to present oil in small distinct batches, each with a name and identity. The era of “cru” begins.

1979

Monte del Lago

A second label dedicated to another side of Trasimeno, with a distinctive character.

1983

The Affiorato

The oil that naturally surfaces, without pressure, becomes a product in its own right. A visionary choice, still rare today.

1997

La Ziraia

La Ziraia is born, from Agogia, Raggiola, Moraiolo, Frantoio and Leccino olives.

1999

Umbria PDO

The oil of the Trasimeno hills obtains the protected designation of origin. A recognition of the territory.

2002+

Monocultivars and Mastroleario

The monocultivars Frantoio and Dolce Agogia arrive, along with Mastroleario, signed by Alfredo Mancianti.

Three pillars, one identity

The territory

The Trasimeno hills

A gentle land of hills, lake and ancient olive trees. The microclimates of the Umbrian side of Trasimeno give our oils unique aromas and rare persistence.

Care in selection

Olives separated by origin

Each grove is harvested and processed separately. Olives are divided by origin, variety and quality: this is how our “cru” are born.

A tradition that continues

Since 1890, today

The historic mill continues its work, preserving gestures and knowledge that span the decades. Today our oils reach all over the world.

An Italian tradition,
from the heart of Umbria.
